The reason it is preferred over the Ek Mukhi for this purpose is practical rather than mystical: a genuine round one-faced Nepali bead is so rare that most in circulation are counterfeit, while the twelve-faced is genuinely obtainable and verifiable. The tradition’s phrase for the Dwadash Mukhi wearer is worth keeping — those who must shine steadily, not briefly.

The five-faced Rudraksha is held by the tradition to suit everyone, of every rashi, without exception — Kalagni Rudra’s bead, under Brihaspati, and the one nearly every classical 108-bead japa mala is strung from. So the honest sequence for a Singh native is: follow the 12 Mukhi reasoning above if that bead is available and within reach; otherwise, or if this is simply your first bead, begin with the five-faced at $15 (≈ ₹1,250) and add the sign’s bead later. Plenty of wearers end with both on one thread.

Where this recommendation comes from
