The seven-faced bead belongs to Mahalakshmi, and it is the tradition's answer to scarcity — not sudden riches, but the steady return of right livelihood. It is also read as an appeasement of Saturn, the slow teacher, whose lessons arrive as hardship.

Fourteen Mukhi Rudraksha · देवमणि — Devmani — "the jewel of the gods"; Hanuman; the third eye, under Shani (Saturn). The fourteen-faced Rudraksha is called Devmani, the jewel of the gods, and the tradition places it at the brow — the seat of the ajna, the third eye. It is held to sharpen intuition: the knowing that arrives before reasoning.

The 5 Mukhi — the bead that suits every rashi

The five-faced Rudraksha is held by the tradition to suit everyone, of every rashi, without exception — Kalagni Rudra’s bead, under Brihaspati, and the one nearly every classical 108-bead japa mala is strung from. So the honest sequence for a Makar native is: follow the 7 Mukhi reasoning above if that bead is available and within reach; otherwise, or if this is simply your first bead, begin with the five-faced at $15 (≈ ₹1,250) and add the sign’s bead later. Plenty of wearers end with both on one thread.
