What the 14 Mukhi means in tradition
Devmani — "the jewel of the gods"; Hanuman; the third eye
The fourteen-faced Rudraksha is called Devmani, the jewel of the gods, and the tradition places it at the brow — the seat of the ajna, the third eye. It is held to sharpen intuition: the knowing that arrives before reasoning.
Worn also against the heaviest passages of Saturn, it is among the most revered and most counterfeited beads in the entire canon. A genuine Nepali Chaudah Mukhi is a serious acquisition, and verification is not optional.
