What the 8 Mukhi means in tradition
Ganesha, remover of obstacles
Eight faces for the lord of beginnings. The Aath Mukhi is invoked where the way keeps closing — ventures that stall, work that meets resistance at every turn. Tradition sets it against the shadow-planet Rahu, whose signature is confusion and obstruction.
As Ganesha is honoured first in every ritual, this bead is traditionally worn when something new must be begun and carried through.
